ConfidenceCheck collects the following data when you use our Chrome extension:
Email address: Required to create your account and identify you across sessions.
Text you check: When you highlight text and use Check Confidence, that text is sent to our servers for AI analysis.
Your email is used solely for authentication and account management. The text you check is sent to OpenAI for analysis and is not shared with any other third parties. We do not sell or trade your data.
Clerk — Authentication (sign-in/sign-up)
Supabase — Secure database storage
OpenAI — AI-powered fact-checking analysis
Resend — Transactional email notifications
Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers with encryption at rest. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information.
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing nfkarahan34@gmail.com . We will process your request within 30 days.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
